About Ariel Rivera
I've been with Verizon since before it was Verizon! I started with GTE, which merged with Bell Atlantic in 2000 to form Verizon. I have worked in Texas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania over the last 23 years, doing everything from supporting warehouses and transportation departments to running my own logistics regions, in Pennsylvania/Delaware, and in New Jersey. I currently serve as Chief of Staff for our Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain & Chief Sustainability Officer.
I have a BA in Politics from Princeton University (Class of 1994), with a certificate in Latin American Studies. While at Princeton, I worked in the dining hall for four years to help pay for my education and played volleyball to relax and have fun. After working for Ford New Holland, a tractor company, for 2 years, I decided to go back to school and earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Penn State University (Class of 1998).
I was born in New York City and raised in Lancaster, PA from the age of 6. I now have 4 kids - Ezekiel and Matthias, my sons; and Micaiah and Elioenai, my twin daughters. My wife, Michelle and I love sharing our stories with kids, to encourage them to fly high.
